In response to the incidents that occurred in the city centre on 17 August 2015 and at a pier along the Chao Phraya River on 18 August 2015, Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok, has increased its security measures in cooperation with the local police authorities.
Business travel to and from Thailand has not been affected. However, the time spent in major tourist spots should be curtailed.
All international and domestic airports are operating normally. Mass transportation systems, including the Airport Rail Link, BTS Skytrain, subway and buses, and taxis are available for use. Public and private offices, shopping centres and restaurants are open as usual.
The hotel has not been affected in any way and continues to operate as normal. As always, the safety of our guests and colleagues is paramount. As such, in the interest of safety, our security measures are constantly reviewed and updated.
