The resort reopened on 18 January 2011 after a 10-month facelift – the most extensive renovation in its entire 17 years of operation. The daylight Horizon Pavilion ballroom offers a panoramic view of the South China Sea and this is especially popular with wedding guests. The smaller Rasa Suites can accommodate meetings and seminars for up to 35 persons. To complement function spaces, which feature enhanced soundproof walls, the resort offers lighting and audiovisual equipment using the latest technology.
Shangri-La’s Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa, Singapore’s beachfront location gives organisers the additional choice of hosting outdoor dinners or cocktails by the waterfront in the evenings. A wide range of recreational activities such as rock climbing, table tennis, kayaking, beach soccer, beach volleyball, water polo and The Flying Trapeze is suitable for team-building programmes.
