Festive Dining At Lafite, Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur, 29 November 2013 – For this festive season Chef de Cuisine, Jean-Philippe Guiard of Lafite at Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur has prepared special set menus for lunch and dinner. 
Dine here on Christmas Eve on three-course and four-course set lunch menus priced at MYR145++ and MYR165++ per person.

In the four-course menu are Home-Smoked Salmon, Creamy Chestnut Soup, a choice of Slowly Cooked Turkey Stuffed with Duck Liver or Roasted Cod Fish Fillet, with Chocolate and Raspberry Parfait for dessert. The three-course menu will have the same dishes lined up, but with a choice of Home-Smoked Salmon and Creamy Chestnut Soup for starters.

From noon to 3 p.m. on Christmas Day, Lafite will have a Deluxe Festive Buffet Lunch with free-flowing wine, beer and soft drinks. There will be a lavish buffet spread, with soups, salads, terrines and other appetisers, a seafood counter, quiche and vol-au-vent station, and a carving station. Other main courses and Christmas desserts will also be on the buffet. The buffet lunch with drinks is priced at MYR298++ per person; without drinks it is MYR198++ for adults and MYR99++ for children aged 12 years old and below.

For dinner on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, there will be two set menus -- a five-course menu at MYR310++, and a seven-course menu at MYR360++.

The five-course menu includes Smoked Duck Liver Terrine, Steamed Oyster Ravioli, Seared Maine Lobster, a choice of Wagyu Beef Tournedos or Gratinated Dover Sole Fillets and Chocolate Raspberry Parfait for dessert. The seven-course menu includes an addition of Hokkaido Scallop Carpaccio and French Assorted Cheeses from Mr Bordier.

Guests can usher in 2014 in style with the New Year’s Eve seven-course set dinner priced at MYR490++ featuring Seabass and Oyster Tartar, Pan Fried Duck Liver, Langoustine Ravioli, Roasted Wild Turbot, a choice of Wagyu Beef Striploin or Gratinated Dover Sole Fillets, French Assorted Cheeses and Crepe Suzettes for dessert.

The nine-course New Year’s Eve set dinner priced at MYR540 ++ per person features an addition of Roasted Maine Lobster and Lemon Sorbet.

To celebrate the New Year, Lafite will have a Deluxe Festive New Year’s Day Buffet Lunch from noon to 3 p.m., with free-flowing wine, beer and soft drinks. The generous and varied buffet lunch spread with drinks is priced at MYR278++ per person and RM178++ without drinks for adults and MYR89++ for children aged 12 years and below.
