Shangri-La's Tanjung Aru Resort & Spa Donates to 'Linens For Life'

Shangri-La's Tanjung Aru Resort & Spa brought several big bags of discarded bedsheets, uniform and towels to its adopted school, SK Bantayan in Kampung Minintod, Inanam, to be upcycled by mothers of the pupils under the Resort's and Sealed Air's Diversey Care Malaysia's corporate social responsibility (CSR) project "Linens For Life". 

 
More than 20 mothers, several teachers and the school principal Puan Junaidah Yassin joined several Resort employees and Sealed Air's Regional Director of Sustainability and CSR Stefan Phang, to make bath mitts, bath robes, aprons and other fabric items for use at their homes using the old linens that the Resort otherwise discard. 
 
Sealed Air also donated two sewing machines to the mothers of the school, under the project.
