 Shanghai, China, 26 September 2017 – In co-operation with “Hello, My Name is Paul Smith” exhibition by renowned English fashion designer Paul Smith, Pudong Shangri-La, East Shanghai presents a new art series afternoon tea available at Lobby Lounge from 1 October 2017 to 8 January 2018.  Step into the world of impressionism and savour delightful treats created by hotel’s pastry chefs and inspired by the works of Paul Smith.

To celebrate Paul Smith’s career to date and reveal insights into his creative processes, ‘Hello, My Name is Paul Smith’ exhibition will take guests a journey through his fashion collections at the Modern Art Museum, where a quintessentially British shop has been recreated.  The exhibition has drawn attention from millions of audiences when it was held in the United Kingdom, Belgium, Japan and Taiwan, it is the first time the exhibition is held in mainland China.

In collaboration with “Hello, My Name is Paul Smith’ exhibition, the hotel’s pastry chefs gained the inspiration from Paul Smith’s work and present art lovers a special Paul Smith themed afternoon tea with beautiful creations, such as Prawn Mango Tobiko Sandwich, Peach Jelly and Strawberry Mousse with Choux, tiered in artistic presentation.  The classic Scone with Blueberry Jam, Strawberry Jam and Cream is a traditional passion that completes this afternoon tea of artful composition and composure, it is served with the guest’s choice of tea or coffee.  The afternoon tea is designed to bring art lovers and diners a sense of luxury through seeing, feeling and tasting.

Chocolate Bar at Gourmet also presents in a nice packing with typical stripes pattern created by Paul Smith.  Guest may choose from any of six flavours, including Caramel, Mixed Nuts, Strawberry, Green Tea, Chilli and Original. 

Moreover, Pudong Shangri-La, East Shanghai brings Paul Smith’s iconic Pink Paul Smith Wall to Lobby Lounge.  This wall is used as a photo backdrop in millions of Instagram and Pinterest photos. Guests will take some shots and selfies in front of the popular Paul Smith’s Pink Wall at Lobby Lounge and share on social media.

The Paul Smith Themed Afternoon Tea is available every day from 2pm to 6pm from 1 October 2017 through to 8 January 2018 at RMB328 per set.
