Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong Presents Spring Dining Offers

To celebrate the spring season, Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong, is offering diners a host of new tempting offers and special culinary experiences at Nadaman, Shang Palace, Café Kool, Angelini and Lobby Lounge. 

 

Japanese Tenshin Lunch Set at Nadaman  

Chef Kojima and his team will present the authentic Japanese Tenshin Dim Sum Lunch Set throughout April 2015. Usually presented on an ozen tray, a refined Tenshin set meal comprises an assortment of small and exquisite delights.  

Priced at only HKD 250 per person, the specially designed Tenshin Dim Sum Lunch Set includes a Japanese Aperitif; Sakura Sesame Tofu; a Traditional Hors D’oeuvre with Grilled Seasonal FishDeep-Fried Bamboo Shoots with Shrimp Paste; Marinated Seasonal Firefly Squid and Steamed Rice with Seasonal Condiments; and Ice-cream. 

 

Sea Cucumber from Around the World at Shang Palace 

Executive Chinese Chef Mok Kit Keung at Shang Palace, which has been awarded two Michelin stars, will bring guests some tasty dishes with sea cucumber from Japan, Australia, Mexico, Africa, Indonesia and South America, all cooked in a variety of styles. 

An à la carte menu with an extensive range of sea cucumber delicacies, including Stir-Fried Japanese Sea Cucumber with Spring Onion; Braised Australian Sea Cucumber with Shrimp Roe; Chilled Okinawa Sea Cucumber with Fresh Cordyceps Flowers and Pomelo; Baked South American Sea Cucumber filled with Shrimp Paste in Boletus Edulis Cheese Sauce; and many other sea cucumber dishes, will be available from 1 to 30 April 2015. 

  

The King of Vegetables at Café Kool 

From 13 and 26 April 2015, the talented chefs at Café Kool will bring a touch of spring to the restaurant by serving dishes made with seasonal German white asparagus during the dinner buffet. Come enjoy an array of refreshing dishes, including Herb-Tossed White Asparagus, Fresh Crab Meat and Radicchio Salad; Brussels Sprout, Kale and White Asparagus Salad; White Asparagus Fritter with Anchovy Aioli; Baked White Asparagus Chawanmushi; Wok-Fried White Asparagus and Lily Bulb with Wolfberries; and many others. 

Guests can also enjoy fresh white asparagus poached à la minute and paired with a medley of homemade sauces at the live cooking station.

Fabulous Spring Creations at Angelini 

Angelini delivers authentic Italian cuisine by using the best fresh produce of the season, such as green peas, fava beans and white asparagus. Three- to five-course spring dinner menus are available from HKD 780 per person until 6 May 2015. 

The highlights of the spring dinner menu include Beef Carpaccio, Yogurt and Spring Herbs; Squid Ink Cuttlefish, Green Pea Cream and Mullet Roe; Homemade Ravioli Filled with Veal Mousse, White Asparagus and Stewed Veal; Sea Bream, Taggiasca Olives, Zucchini Cream and Sun-Dried Tomatoes; Sabayon Semifreddo with Strawberry Coulis; and many other dishes. 

 

Asian Craze at Lobby Lounge 

This April, a themed afternoon tea buffet filled with Korean and Japanese delicacies will be available from 1pm to 5pm on weekends and public holidays at Lobby Lounge. The buffet is priced at HKD 318 per adult and HKD 268 per child. Guests can look forward to Korean Steak Tartare; Tuna Tataki with Ginger Dressing; Scallops on Japanese Salad with Wasabi and Lime Cream; Japanese Hot Cakes with Ice-cream; Crispy Sweet Potatoes in Caramel Sauce; and Walnuts wrapped in Persimmons.
