Angelini at Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong Presents Guest Chef Enrico Bartolini

Angelini at Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong Presents Guest Chef Enrico Bartolini

Celebrated Chef Enrico Bartolini of Michelin two-starred Devero Restaurant in Cavenago di Brianza, Italy will make a guest appearance at Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong’s Angelini, alongside resident Angelini Chef Marco Medaglia, between 3 and 7 June 2014 to showcase his culinary skills with a specially designed menu.

As an outstanding young talent, Chef Enrico started his career in Italy.  This stint was followed by overseas exposure at distinguished restaurants in France, Great Britain and Germany, where he worked with professional gourmet chefs, including top Italian Chef Massimiliano Alajmo.  His intuition, creativity, reliability, ambition, along with a great passion towards his work, have fostered his growth in the industry and earned him worldwide recognition.

With currently two Michelin stars, Chef Enrico received his first Michelin star at age 30 and was the youngest Italian chef to achieve such honour.  He was also one of the finalists of Greatest Chef China (Italy edition) in 2013.

During his five-day sojourn at Angelini, Chef Enrico will delight Hong Kong diners with his best selection.  Dedicated to conserving the Italian culinary tradition, he incorporates innovative skills and elements in creating classical, yet contemporary cuisine.  Guests may opt for a three-course, four-course or five-course dinner menu co-created with Angelini Head Chef Marco.

The fine-dining journey will begin with cold starters, including Marinated Snapper with Pistachio Sauce and Roasted Lemon, and Beef Tartare with Foie Gras, Curry Sauce and Almonds.  Alternatively, diners can opt for hot appetisers, such as Battered Scampi with Grapefruit Sauce and Cuttlefish with Green Pea Cream and Sun-Dried Fish Roe.

Diners may also look forward to Button-Shaped Ravioli with Grilled Octopus in Seafood Sauce or Beetroot Risotto with Gorgonzola Sauce.  For the main course, a choice of Seared Turbot Fillet with Asparagus and Capers Mayonnaise or Braised Veal Cheek with Kumquat and Celeriac Purée is available.

To end the meal on a sweet note, Chef Enrico recommends Raspberries, Yogurt and Licorice or Chocolate Crunch with Hazelnut Ice Cream.

The three-course dinner menu is priced at only HK$880 per person, the four-course dinner menu is priced at just HK$980 per person and the five-course dinner menu is priced at HK$1,080 per person.

All prices are subject to a 10 per cent service charge.  For reservations and enquiries, please call (852) 2733 8988 or visit to book online.
