Surabaya, 4 June 2014 - Shangri-La Hotel, Surabaya presents "A Taste of Thailand" from 5 to 14 June 2014. This culinary experience is held in collaboration with the renowned Blue Elephant, Royal Thai Cuisine.
Blue Elephant has been Thailand's culinary ambassador for over 30 years since 1980. Its founder and master chef, Nooror Somany-Steppe, keeps innovating new Thai dishes, uniquely combining Thai and local ingredients in the countries where Blue Elephant operates. Shangri-La Hotel, Surabaya has specially flown in Corporate Chef Sombat Prongthong from Thailand, accompanied by Chef Prasert Chimwan from Blue elephant Cooking School & Restaurant. Guests can look forward to classic and fusion Thai cuisine with both experienced chefs cooking hand in hand. Some of the mouth-watering dishes to be presented during the 10-day promotion are Kra-Paow Nua Phon Yanbg Kham, Tom Yam Koong, Som Tam, Ka-Pi Khua, Mieng Kham and Kaeng Kai Normai Sod, to name a few.
Guests are welcome to sample "A Taste of Thailand" at Jamoo for lunch or dinner from 5 until 14 June 2014. Prices start from Rp. 228,000++ per person.
During the "A Taste of Thailand" promotion, Corporate Chef Sombat and Chef Prasert will conduct a cooking class on 6 and 7 June 2014. Limited to 20 participants per session, registration is priced at Rp. 258,000++ per person per session.
