The “Megapixel” and “Gigapixel” Easter eggs by pastry Chef Michaël Bartocetti

The “Megapixel” and “Gigapixel” Easter eggs by pastry Chef Michaël Bartocetti

Paris, 7th February 2017 -

This year, Pastry Chef Michaël Bartocetti has drawn inspiration from his childhood, namely the golden age of Pixel Art, which he has managed to condense into five Easter eggs for Shangri-La Hotel, Paris.
Available in two sizes, “Megapixel” and “Gigapixel” are destined to entrance true chocolate lovers and all those with a sweet tooth, whatever their age.

“Megapixel” plays with colour: it enrobes its delicate shell in Jivara 40% milk chocolate, and this is coated with a fine layer of white chocolate with a very spring-like green, a delicate yellow and a stronger coral.

“Gigapixel” on the other hand has an exceptionally long finish, with its strong 66% Caribbean black chocolate and a hint of grilled dried fruit, round, spiced and lightly woody and it also comes in a Jivara 40% milk chocolate version for milk chocolate lovers.

They both conceal an interior sprinkled with almond nougatine and fleur de sel to bring happiness to young and old alike.

Their bases are made of 66% Caribbean black chocolate to lend a sweet touch, attributable to a hazelnut praline perfumed with bigarade orange and caramelised pine nuts.

These eggs are a reflection of the lively, creative spirit of our talented Pastry Chef and a veritable ode to gourmet eating, being designed for enjoyment with your family or friends.

“Megapixel” egg is 12 cm high – Jivara 40% milk chocolate coated with a fine layer of white chocolate Available in green, yellow and coral at a price of 48 euros
