CHI, The Spa at Shangri-La draws inspiration from the origins of the Shangri-La legend, which describes a place of personal peace, enchantment and well-being.
A wellness oasis in the heart of the French capital: located in what were originally the stables of Prince Roland Bonaparte’s hôtel particulier, Shangri-La Hotel, Paris’s CHI, The Spa includes fitness facilities, a pool with an outdoor terrace and a beauty treatment centre.
The pool, treatment rooms and fitness area are configured in a harmonious duplex formation, which optimises both space and natural daylight and provides a serene ambience.
Using the landmark building’s classical French architecture and high, vaulted ceilings as a starting point, designer Pierre-Yves Rochon anchored the space with a pool measuring 16 metres by 6 metres and extended it with a 94-square-metre plant-lined, private open-air terrace. As a nod to Prince Roland Bonaparte’s passion for botany, the décor implements luxuriant flora- and water-inspired motifs. A serene colour palette of watery blues and celadon green, sophisticated materials, and Asian-inspired touches combine to create a modern and timeless retreat. A wrap-around mezzanine overlooking the pool completes the space, offering large, fully appointed treatment cabins and a state-of-the-art fitness area.
With a complete range of facial treatments, massages and signature slimming rituals based on high-quality organic extracts and herbs, and exceptional organic therapies, The Organic Pharmacy will exceed the expectations of the hotel’s demanding clientele.
