Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, 5 August 2016 - Shangri-La’s Rasa Ria Resort & Spa, Kota Kinabalu in Malaysian Borneo has launched a new ‘Adventuremoon’ package.  Available starting 1 September 2016, the package is aimed at discerning newlyweds looking for an adrenaline-packed honeymoon whilst enjoying the deluxe comforts of a five-star resort. 

The ‘Adventuremoon’ package invites honeymooners to explore the sights and sounds of Borneo’s jungle coastline through an array of adventurous activities.  From trekking to horseback riding, paddle boarding and cycling, this trip has active lovebirds covered.  Couples will have a chance to interact with nature on a river cruise, exploring the Bornean mangroves and spotting the peculiar indigenous primate, the proboscis monkey, in its natural habitat.  Newlyweds will also trek 90 metres above sea level to enjoy a champagne breakfast with a view like no other – overlooking the highest mountain in the Malay Archipelago, the majestic Mount Kinabalu.  

‘Adventuremooners’ looking to take to the water can enjoy a sunset river cruise on the Mengkabong River, kayak to a private honeymoon cove and paddle-board on the calm waters of Pantai Dalit Beach.  Couples will also have a chance to fulfil a popular bucket-list aspiration and horse-ride across 3 kilometres of white sand along the hotel’s beachfront.  There is also an option to add a ‘his and hers’ golf lessons with the resort’s resident golf professional.
