Well-being experiences with Le Tigre Yoga Club

Well-being experiences with Le Tigre Yoga Club

To celebrate the return of the fine weather, Shangri-La Hotel, Paris, a Parisian Palace that bears the mark of Asian culture, and Le Tigre Yoga Club, a leading centre of yoga in Paris, are combining their expertise to create unique and exclusive well-being experiences. As part of this brand new collaboration, several experiences have been imagined as invitations for the body and mind to let go. The first edition will be held on 6th June, in the exceptional setting of CHI, The Spa and the restaurant La Bauhinia. It will be followed by two other sessions, on 5th and 23rd July. "A stress-busting break as an antidote to the pressures of daily life": this is the philosophy of Le Tigre, which is shared by the Palace, whose name was inspired by the legend of Shangri-La, a place of personal well-being, enchantment and peace.

6th June: this exclusive experience will include Aqua Yoga and a 100% Green Dinner

For this first edition, Elodie Garamond, founder of Le Tigre, called on the services of yoga teacher Pauline Laumond to come up with a tailor-made Aqua Yoga class, designed in and for the swimming pool at CHI, The Spa, bathed in natural light. An oasis of calm in the heart of Paris' 16th arrondissement, CHI, The Spa is a refuge where treatments are based on ancient methods shared by several Asian cultures.

Similar to traditional yoga, Aqua Yoga involves a sequence of postures ('asanas') combined with diaphragmatic breathing, which is naturally deeper and slower, for improved oxygenation of the blood. The session will begin with static and dynamic postures by the poolside. Participants will then be invited to enter the water with asanas suited to the aquatic environment.

While concentrating on controlling their breath and balance, participants will enjoy a feeling of relaxation, heightened by the water. Like a soft cocoon, the water wraps around the body, which becomes as light as a bubble. It is an ideal way to let go and find your inner calm. Suitable for all skill levels, this experience will leave guests relaxed and energised. Before dinner, to complete this well-being experience, they will be able to enjoy free access to the Hammam at CHI, The Spa, or book a massage or treatment with the team of therapists.

Because well-being also involves a healthy and balanced diet, and treating yourself from time to time, the session will be followed by a 100% Green Dinner at La Bauhinia restaurant, which is served every first Thursday of the month. As Executive Chef Christophe Moret's tribute to the world of plants, this dinner highlights the best of the kitchen garden. All guests will be able to share dinner around the same table, along with Elodie Garamond and Pauline Laumond.
