Dominik Trimborn, Director of Sales & Marketing

From 1st April 2021, Dominik Trimborn has joined Shangri-La Hotel, Paris’ sales team as director of sales and marketing to lead and implement the hotel’s global strategy. Trimborn brings with him a wide global skillset and deep expertise in the industry from a career spanning over a decade.

Originally from Germany, Trimborn joins the team at the prestigious Shangri-La Hotel, Paris after leading The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park’s repositioning, where major renovations were carried out. During his time in New York, Trimborn’s leadership helped the hotel become the top hotel in the destination by the end of 2019. From 2016 to 2019, he led sales efforts at The St. Regis Bal Harbour in Miami and the W Miami. Within these roles, Trimborn helped Marriott Group achieve the title of “Best Luxury Hotel in the United States” in both 2018 and 2019.

From 2015 to 2016, Trimborn was director of sales and marketing for the Sheraton Royal Orchid in Bangkok. He also held various roles during a nine-year career at Starwood Hotels & Resorts, including deputy director of sales and marketing for two hotels in Bali, during which time he helped the sales team achieve the title “Best Sales Team in Asia Pacific.” Trimborn also led Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ South East Asia regional sales department for three years. Based in Bangkok, he managed the sales strategy for 22 hotels in Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia. Trimborn pursued his career in luxury hospitality by studying at the Munich School for Tourism and Hospitality Management.
