SHANGRI-LA’S FAR EASTERN PLAZA HOTEL, TAIPEI SENDS SEASON’S GREETINGS WITH ABUNDANT CHINESE NEW YEAR DELICACIES

Taipei, January 5, 2016 – As the Chinese New Year is just around the corner, Shangri-La’s Far Eastern Plaza Hotel, Taipei launches a world of Chinese New Year specialties especially prepared by its signature Shang Palace, the exquisite Shanghai Pavilion and Michelin-approached ibuki by TAKAGI KAZUO, hoping to send the best seasonal regards and bring great fortune to all the guests.

From NT$12,888, guests can enjoy the special Chinese New Year set menu in portions of six with an additional NT$1,000 meal voucher.  Guests who order and fully pay before Jan. 15, 2016 will also get a 15 percent off early-bird offer.  For more information, please call (02) 2378 8888.

Apart from take-out dishes, Shangri-La Far Eastern Plaza Hotel, Taipei has also prepared two luxurious hampers for guests to send their regards to friends and family.  The Hamper of Great Fortune, priced at NT$2,880, includes Outback Jack Red Wine, Oolong tea, dried mango, Chinese sausage, pumpkin seeds and dried mushroom, while the Hamper of Future Prosperity, priced at NT$4,800, includes Outback Jack White and Red Wine, Oolong tea, dried mango, Chinese sausage, cured meat, pumpkin seeds, dried mushroom and 36 pieces of chocolate cookies.

The hampers are available via telephone booking at (02) 2378 8888 ext. 5867 or at The Cake Room on the lobby floor. Guests may pick up their hampers starting Jan. 11, 2016. 

On Chinese New Year’s Day, the hotel’s five restaurants will also offer special Chinese New Year’s Eve set menus.  From modern Italian cuisine to traditional Chinese dishes, there is a wide selection for guest to savor a delicious and warm night. 

For those who are expecting to indulge in a fun and fabulous Chinese New Year’s Eve with live entertainment and activities in both of the hotel’s ballrooms. Chinese-style set menus in portions of 10 at NT$28,880 per table are serving at the Shangri-La Ballroom (2F) while the buffet-style Chinese New Year delicacies are available at NT$2,888 per person at the Far Eastern Grand Ballroom (3F).
