Canadian recording artist Liza Melfi takes centre stage in the Lobby Lounge at Futian Shangri-La, Shenzhen for a limited engagement. Until July 2013, Liza jazzes up the evenings with charismatic performances of jazz, funk, pop and R& B hits on Mondays to Saturdays, from 8 p.m. until midnight.
An accomplished singer and songwriter, Liza has written original compositions and recorded a solo album, Liza Melfi Live at The House of Jazz. With a career that spans over 10 countries, Liza sings in five languages and has graced the stages of many large theatres, including Le Lion D’Or, Saint-Denis, The Spectrum and The Bell Centre of Montreal.
While music has always been Liza’s first love, she also studied performing arts at the prestigious Dawson College, and has acted in television series, feature films, commercials and music videos for Canadian and American release. This experience and her natural stage presence lend an extra touch of showmanship to her performances.
A singer with a big heart, Liza is actively involved in charity work. Since 2008, she has been the spokesperson for Association Dysphasia+, participating in numerous fundraisers to support families affected by the condition. For each of Liza’s CDs sold, US$1 goes to the association.
