Futian Shangri-La, Shenzhen Successfully Holds Events Collection Launch Party at Futian Station

On 30 June 2016, Futian Shangri-La, Shenzhen held the Events Collection Party at its neighbour – Futian Station.  At the same time, the event marked the beginning of a strategic co-operation between the hotel and Futian Station. 
Futian Shangri-La, Shenzhen received approval to set up a simulated model train covering 300 square metres at Futian Station – the largest underground train station in Asia and the second-largest in the world (second only to the Grand Central Station in New York and only opened 28 December 2015).  Waiters and waitresses dressed in train-staff uniforms to serve guests and chefs presented Cantonese dim sum served with traditional dim sum trolleys, a food and beverage concept inspired by the traditional service in real trains. 
At 3 p.m., all the VIPs and media friends arrived at Futian Station and boarded the “Shangri-La Train”.  After a warm-up cell phone game, the event kicked off.  General Manager / Area Manager Mr Patrick Low gave a warm welcome speech.  Later, Ms Lucy Lu, Director of Sales and Marketing, introduced Events Collection to the guests and gave them a quiz to deepen their impression on the project.  The hotel also invited the STAR Music Group to perform the world-famous musical composition, Palladio.  Three rounds of lucky draws were held throughout the whole event. 
Witnessed by Futian Station’s vice chief, the hotel signed a strategic Memorandum of Cooperation with Futian Station to jointly promote Shenzhen tourism and traveller experience.  The hotel management team went on stage to toast to the success of the “Shangri-La Train”. 
After the event, the model train, stamped with the hotel and its Events Collection logos, remained in the Futian Station hall, where passers-by could view it. 
The hotel chose Futian Station as the venue for its Events Collection Launch Party because of the station’s outstanding location – it is situated not only in the CBD, 30 minutes to Hong Kong and providing 29 minutes’ seamless access to Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport, but also steps away from Futian Shangri-La, Shenzhen. 
Till 10 October 2016, events with a minimum of 25 rooms for at least one night, combined with a minimum spend of Rmb488 per person on function-room charges, will be entitled to the following:
