“We are dedicated to producing only the finest cupcakes, using premium ingredients, including freshly prepared French pastry cream and Valrhona chocolate. The cupcakes are baked fresh daily with no additives. As such, the number of cupcakes we bake will be limited to only 100 per day for retail sales.” said Matthew Bennink, Executive Chef of Futian Shangri-La, Shenzhen, “We put our heart and soul into creating this collection of cupcakes and had a lot of fun at the same time. The collection is noteworthy for its contemporary flavour combinations and exquisite presentation. For example, the Sour Cherry Cupcake with Sour Cream Frosting features a combination of bold and subtle flavours; and an elegant presentation of smooth white frosting contrasting against a deep dark midnight hue of the cake, topped with a delicately curved leaf made of white chocolate, finished with a fleck of gold leaf.
The collection of cupcakes varies through the week, with six regular selections plus two rotating flavours offered daily. The six options that are available everyday include Green Tea Cupcake with Vanilla Frosting, Chocolate Cupcake with Peanut Butter Frosting, Blueberry Cupcake with Blueberry Frosting, Mocha Cupcake with Espresso Frosting, Oreo Cookie Cupcake with Cream Cheese Frosting and Vanilla Cupcake with Vanilla Frosting.
