Futian Shangri-La, Shenzhen and Sealed Air Celebrate Earth Hour With Environmental Activities

As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR), Futian Shangri-La, Shenzhen will participate in the 2017 Earth Hour campaign “Shine a Light on Climate Action”.  The hotel will hold environmental activities at Shang Gourmet and Lobby Lounge to raise awareness on keeping sustainable lifestyles to fight global warming.
From 7:45 to 8:25 p.m. on 25 March 2017, in collaboration with leading global company Sealed Air, the hotel will collect unused soap from the guestrooms to be recycled and invite all guests to Shang Gourmet, where a soap-recycling activity will be held to benefit the less privileged.
Lobby Lounge will offer all guests Rooted in Nature cocktails and snacks from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m.  At the same time, all of the hotel’s non-essential and façade lighting will be either dimmed or turned off.  The hotel also encourages guests to join this global event by minimising the use of electrical appliances in the guestrooms, including the lights and air-conditioning system.
The hotel florists will also present an “Earth Hour” themed floral arrangement in the lobby. The earth in a green light bulb shape relates to the initiative of turning off lights to save energy and protect the environment.
