Shangri-La Hotel, Qufu Celebrates First Mid-Autumn Festival

Shangri-La Hotel, Qufu celebrates its first Mid-Autumn Festival starting on from 1 August 2013 with special offers in the form of gift boxes and a hamper, perfect as gifts for families, friends and business clients.  There will also be themed promotions at Café Kong and Shang Palace.

Guests may choose from three types of boxes – the Feng Yue box is priced at RMB 128 for a box of eight moon cakes with classic flavours such as Red Bean Paste, Black Sesame and Black Dates with Walnut paste; the Ya Yue gift box, priced at RMB 218, consists of nine moon cakes, including Assorted Nuts, Lotus Paste and Egg and Low-Sugar Pumpkin Paste; the Song Yue box with nine assorted contemporary flavours such as Bird’s Nest, Truffle and Bacon, and Longjing Tea Paste, is priced at RMB 328.

To show their appreciation for a business colleague or friend, guests may order the Ruyi Hamper, priced at RMB 888, which wrapped up in a trendy carrier and includes a bottle of imported red wine, a box of eight moon cakes, the renowned Shangri-La X.O. sauce, homemade cookies, homemade Malaysian shrimp paste chilli sauce, imported olive oil and the popular Sri Lankan Dilmah tea gift box.

The moon cakes will be ready for collection at the Mid-Autumn Festival Counter, located at the main lobby from 6 August 2013 onwards.

From 13 to 19 September 2013, guests may treat family and friends during the Mid-Autumn Festival to a seafood dinner buffet priced at RMB 198 nett per person at Café Kong.  They can enjoy the eat-all-you-can prawns, scallops and salmon sashimi at the crustacean station or watch a chef in action as he cooks Chilli Paste Stuffed Fish wrapped in Banana Leaf or Fried Squid with Celery.

During the same week, diners may savour authentic Cantonese, regional Lu cuisine or the renowned Kong Family cuisine at Shang Palace with set menus for lunch and dinner.  Lunch is priced at RMB 108 plus 15% service charge per person and dinner is at RMB 128 plus 15% service charge per person.  They can also expect highlights, such as Wu Xi-Style Stewed Pork Ribs, Double-Boiled Sea Whelk Soup with Black Mushroom and Steamed Sea Bass with Black Soy Sauce.
