SHANGRI-LA’S - EROS HOTEL, NEW DELHI PRESENTS “A TASTE OF KASHMIR” AT TAMRA ITS AWARD-WINNING MULTI-CUISINE RESTAURANT

 New Delhi, 3 February 2017 – Guests can experience the richness of Kashmiri cuisine, steeped deep in heavenly aromas and robust flavours, at Shangri-La’s - Eros Hotel, New Delhi. TAMRA, the hotel’s award-winning multi-cuisine restaurant, takes its guests on a delectable journey with the Kashmiri food festival ‘Wazwan’, offering an exotic and authentic experience specially curated by Executive Chef Neeraj Tyagi and guest chests, Chef Mushtaq and Chef Hamied. 

 Kashmiri cuisine, also known as ‘Wazwan’, is extremely rich in flavours, with dishes imbued with spices like cardamom, fennel, ginger, cinnamon, cloves and saffron.  

 Guests are invited to relish the redolence of the flavours and spices with such delicacies as Tabak Maaz (Pan-Fried Lamb Ribs cooked with Spices and Yoghurt or Milk), Rogan Josh (Spicy Lamb Curry), Gushtaba (Minced Mutton Balls cooked in Curd and Spices), Haaq (Kashmiri Spinach cooked in Mustard Oil with Mild Spices) and much more. 

 Chef Mushtaq and Chef Hamied’s signature dishes such as the Kokur Kanti (chicken prepared with onions, green chilli and tomato puree), Seekh Tujh (soft marinated meat pieces prepared at the table on low charcoal flame, on the table) and the Marchwangan Korma (spicy minced mutton) promises the quintessential Kashmiri indulgence that will delight even the most discerning of palates. 

 Ending the meal on a sweet note, will be the fragrant and sinful Kashmiri Zafrani Phirni, made with rice, milk and saffron - certainly a feast for the senses. 

Guests may complete their Kashmiri journey with Kahwa, an aromatic traditional Kashmiri green tea made with cardamom, cinnamon, saffron and almonds, while swaying to Kashmiri folk music that will sooth the senses and transport them to the land where heaven meets Earth - the valleys of Kashmir.
