Shangri-La Le Touessrok, Mauritius appoints Gregory Coquet as General Manager

Shangri-La Le Touessrok, Mauritius is delighted to announce the appointment of Gregory Coquet as General Manager of the legendary 5-star luxury resort on the East coast. As of September 01, 2021, Gregory will take on this new role bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and deep expertise in the industry, from a career spanning over two decades.

The Mauritian citizen and well-versed hotelier will lead the day-to-day management of the 203 rooms, suites, and beach villas of the resort, which has reopened since last 26 August.

Gregory Coquet began his career in France and moved to Switzerland where he acquired expertise in several departments from food and beverage, sales and marketing to banqueting. Following his European journey, the dynamic leader spearheaded two hotel brands on the island before spending five years at Royal Palm Beachcomber in Mauritius as the General Manager.

In his new capacity, Gregory’s mission is to continue leveraging the esteemed reputation of Shangri-La Le Touessrok, Mauritius as one of the leading hotels in the Indian Ocean whilst also bringing an energetic touch of charm, innovation and creativity to the hotel’s vast choice of luxury experiences.
