Historical Al-Balad
Just a short drive from the Shangri-La is Jeddah's Historic District, a UNESCO World Heritage site and the only surviving urban ensemble of the Red Sea cultural world. This walkable neighbourhood, known as Al-Balad, is filled with ancient architecture and artifacts dating back to the 7th century.

While there, take a tour of the Abdul Raouf Khalil Museum, Nasseef House and the remnants of the Jeddah Wall or stop by the variety of souks to soak up the authentic culture.
