Sule Shangri-La,Yangon Celebrates "A Bridge of Lifetime" Wedding Fair

Yangon, 29 May 2017 - Sule Shangri-La, Yangon opened the elegant lacquer-panelled doors of its Myanmar Ballroom last 27 and 28 May 2017 to celebrate love and romance with a wedding fair called "A Bridge of a Lifetime" (Ba Wa Myit Thar Paung Kuu Ta Dar).

The affair had as its main collaborators some of the city's most respected wedding specialists: Signature Weddings and Events Planning, show producer and creative director Brian Jeremiah and floral and creative designer Mummy Kyaw.

"A wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime event for the bride and groom. That is why we go to great lengths to ensure we provide our soon-to-wed couples only the best during our wedding fair. From the extravagant bridal collections of our featured designers to spectacular floral and wedding setups, to the finer details of video and photography, invitations and make-up, we have partnered with only the best wedding specialists in Yangon," shared Caroline Cheah, Sule Shangri-La, Yangon's general manager in her opening speech.

"A Bridge of a Lifetime" married modern and traditional Burmese weddings, best captured in the wedding and evening gown creations of the featured local designers. Mogok Pauk Pauk led the gala fashion shows on both days, while Charlotte Barjou, Ma Myint Zu of Zu Zu Collectiona and Latt Latt were the featured designers for the high-tea bridal fashion shows.

Elegantly complementing the designers' creations were the exquisite jewellery provided by Wai Gems and Jewelry and Benevolent Gems by Wai.

Throughout the two-day event, the hotel showcased its distinct wedding experiences in the heart of the city. The hotel's event and wedding planning experts were on hand to meet couples to present signature wedding packages, exclusive honeymoon offers, signature wedding cakes, as well as the hotel's extensive high-tea menu selection for receptions.

"Here at Sule Shangri-La, Yangon, we offer a wealth of elegant options and, most importantly, our signature service in helping couples prepare for their special day with an attention to detail that only comes from the heart," Ms. Cheah said.

Couples also had the opportunity to engage with other wedding experts and leaf through a variety of sources for event coordinators, event stylists and florists, fashion choreographers, gifts and novelties, event emcees, invitations, jewellery, musicians, audio-visual equipment, photography, videography, car rentals and other wedding essentials.

Honeymoon stays at selected Shangri-La destinations were also raffled off. The wedding fair's luckiest couple won a roundtrip ticket to London, courtesy of Cathay Pacific, with two nights' accommodation at Shangri-La Hotel, At The Shard, London.

The event was also supported by Volvo, CB Bank, Cathay Pacific and Moet & Chandon. Other major partners for the event were Linn Linn Make-up Artist, Kingsman Photography, Production Works, stylists Casey and Randy of Style Factory, Carrie Models and Majestic Custom Tailor.
