Taipei, January 15, 2016 – This Valentine’s Day, Shangri-La’s Far Eastern Plaza Hotel presents various set menus at four restaurants, a special cake and romantic cocktails for guests to have a meaningful Valentine’s Day. Guests may prepare surprises for their other half with the hotel’s romantic goodies and gourmet.


Special Valentines’ Cake “Love at the Moment” (NT$850)

Shaped like a heart, the cake base is made of white chocolate, crispy corn flakes and dark chocolate to create a balance between bitter and sweet.  The surprise comes in the passion fruit jelly filling that gives the cake a different texture.  The “Love at the Moment” Cake can represent the valentine heart.  Reservations must be made three days before pick up.  To order, please call (02) 2378 8888 ext. 5867.

Limited-Edition Cocktails for Valentine’s Only

From February 12 to 14, Marco Polo Lounge and Lobby Court will launch “Just Fall in Love” (NT$520 plus 10 per cent) and “L’amour” (NT$320 plus 10 per cent).  Especially mixed with gin, lemon juice, strawberry and handmade rosemary syrup, “L’amour” has a sweet and sour taste, like first love.  On the other hand, “Just Fall in Love” is the taste of passion as it is mixed with rum, vodka, cocoa, milk and strawberry syrup.

A Special Menu for a Special Night 

To celebrate the special night, Marco Polo Restaurant, Shanghai Pavilion, ibuki by TAKAGI KAZUO and Café at Far Eastern will present special set menus for Valentine’s Day.
