Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta Hosts Second 'Journey of Love' Wedding Showcase

Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta again hosts the “Journey of Love” wedding showcase in the hotel’s Grand Ballroom from 29 to 30 April 2017.

Guests will be able to explore more than 30 of the most sought-after vendors – from makeup artists, wedding cakes, wedding dress, wedding organisers, souvenirs and invitation suppliers to car rentals and apartments – at the event.  To let couples visualise their big day, the hotel will decorate the exhibition area like a real wedding scene, which giving the event a different ambiance from other wedding exhibitions.  The finest names in the wedding industry will give the audience a glimpse of the “perfect” wedding come to life.

The wedding showcase will present four workshops; Make-Up Class with Makeover, Financial Class with Janus Finance, Painting Class with Ideku Handmade and a Floral Arrangement Class with Artiste Floral.  Workshops are open to the public and pre-event registration is necessary.

Current wedding trends as predicted by wedding specialists will inspired by fairy tale and nature beauty wedding celebration theme.  The decoration trend leans more towards neutral colours, such as gold, ivory and pastel.  Dresses are simply cut with a classic design and pastel colours.  For the groom, the elegant black suite will still be the favourite, while colourful suits are preferred for the outdoor weddings.

“Journey of Love” also presents a preview of bridal collections from the country’s upscale wedding designers. Each of the designer’s signature bridal gown design will be uniquely showcased in the dedicated hall of fame.
