Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta Celebrates the Holy Month of Ramadan

To welcome the holy month of Ramadan, Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta offers guests an extravagant iftar feast and a range of sophisticated Ramadan hampers to share the bliss of the holy month.

SATOO, the hotel’s international buffet restaurant, will bring a delightful trio of hotel’s special culinary creations from Indonesia, Malaysia and Turkey.  The recipes come from the hotel’s chef and originated in the three countries.  Guests may savour the richly spiced menus during the Ramadan iftar or dinner feast, available at Rp.408,000++ per person during weekday dinners and  Rp.428,000++ per person during weekend dinners.

The Iftar dinner menu varies from Doner Kebab, Slow-Cooked Lamb Shoulder, Beef Rendang, Lontong Sayur, a variety of Soto, Martabak Bangka, Nasi Lemak, Asam Laksa, Roti Jala and Mee Kari Mamak to assorted Ta’jil and Ramadan-themed desserts.

To share the holy month’s blessings, SATOO Deli Shop offers Ramadan hampers that will make the perfect presents for family members, friends and business colleagues.  These delicacies will be available to order as a perfect and lovely gesture of appreciation and of embracing this festivity. The Ramadan hampers are available at prices starting from Rp.880,000 nett and include a selection of Indonesian- and Western-style signature cookies (Kastengel, Nastar, Putri Salju, Chocolate Chip, Vienna Cookies and Vanilla Almond), dates, spiced nuts, Lapis Legit Prune Cake.

During the holiday period of Hari Raya Idul Fitri or Eid Al-Fitr, guests with families can enjoy a special room package that includes breakfast at SATOO and special saving 20 per cent discount for food and beverage and spa. Young guest can have fun in Sunday activities for the kids and at the Children’s Aqua Playground.  This package is available from Rp.1,850,000++ for Deluxe Rooms per room, per night.

The hotel will also feature CSR fundraising initiatives, the proceeds of which will go to Shangri-La’s Care for People programme, Embrace.  In front of SATOO Deli Shop during the month of Ramadan, the hotel will sell a small box choco chips and Nastar (local’s signature butter pineapple cookies), starting from Rp50,000 nett per box.
