This drives us to view sustainable development as a cornerstone of our operations and actively integrate Environmental Protection, Social Responsibility, and Corporate Governance (ESG) principles into every aspect of our daily operations and services. As a member of the Shangri-La Group, we adhere to the Group's "Triple S Strategy" (Stay Green, Savor Consciously, Shine Through), dedicated to creating sustainable value for our guests, colleagues, partners, and the communities we serve.

Environmental Management and Efficiency Enhancement:

  • Operate according to ISO 14001 Environmental Management System standards.
  • Comprehensively optimize energy, water, and waste management systems.
  • Introduce energy-efficient equipment, such as energy-saving LED lighting, elevator energy regeneration technology, and high-efficiency water-saving devices.
  • Promote digitalization of internal operations to reduce paper usage and improve efficiency.

Towards a Plastic-Free Future:

  • Respond to the Shangri-La Group's "Plastic Free Future" initiative.
  • Gradually eliminate single-use plastics, promote recyclable containers and large-format amenities.
  • Completely stop providing single-use in-room amenities from 2025, a move that has received positive feedback and support from guests both locally and internationally.
  • Use eco-friendly packaging for food and beverage takeaways.

Innovative Green Experiences:

  • Partner with others to launch sustainable themed accommodation packages.
  • Collaborate with LG Electronics to create smart energy-saving rooms, offering a combination of technology and sustainability.
  • Provide charger for electric vehicle to promote green transportation.
  • Participate annually in global environmental initiatives such as "Earth Hour" to raise sustainability awareness.

Sustainable Dining:

  • Adhere to Shangri-La's "Rooted in Nature" program.
  • Prioritize sourcing local, seasonal ingredients to reduce carbon footprint.
  • With HACCP certification, offer healthy, safe, and environmentally friendly dining options.

Social Responsibility and Community Care:

  • Sustainable Themed Weddings: Offer industry-first sustainable themed wedding services, meeting couples' needs for environmentally friendly and meaningful celebrations.
  • Long-term Charity Support: For many years, we have focused on and supported charity organizations such as International Children's Village, Huashan Foundation, and Taiwan Black Bear Conservation Association through various forms and programs.
  • Charity Participation: Annually during the Christmas season, we set up donation boxes in the lobby, inviting guests to contribute to charity and support disadvantaged groups in society.
  • Breast Cancer Prevention Promotion: For consecutive years in October, "International Breast Cancer Awareness Month," we have launched the "Pink Charity Afternoon Tea," donating 15% of net sales to the Taiwan Clinical Oncology Research Foundation to support breast cancer prevention work. The hotel staff also participates in related charity runs, demonstrating support and care for health through action.
  • Granting Wishes for Children: We partner with the Make a wish Taiwan to launch the "One-Day Chef at Shang Palace" dream fulfillment program, helping critically ill children realize their dream of becoming a chef.
