Shangri-La Singapore, our first hotel, is a lush urban oasis in the heart of the city. It is renowned for its tropical sanctuary, culinary expertise and exceptional service, all thoughtfully connected to Singapore’s multicultural identity. For more than 50 years, this beloved hotel has gracefully balanced modernity and tradition while caring for its community and environment.
The hotel proudly supports children and elderly people in the local neighbourhood and follows robust environmental and safety standards. Its commitment to sustainability is recognised through certifications including ISO 14001, ISO 45001, the Singapore Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Green Mark, and, most recently, certification from the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC).

Shangri-La Singapore's Commitment to 5 Corporate Social Responsibility Initiatives:
Environment
Shangri-La Singapore is committed to serving as good stewards of the environment and the hotel mitigates impacts on the environment by ensuring that our day-to-day operations promote and implement responsible environmental practices and continuous improvement.
Health and Safety
Shangri-La Singapore ensures that only the high standards of health and safety are maintained for the benefit of all our stakeholders. This includes overall food safety systems, hygiene and sanitation standards. In addition, various security and safety initiatives are customized and implemented by the hotel based on timely assessments of local situations.
Employees
Hospitality from the heart is exemplified in our every smile and gesture. Our employees are our partners in delivering the high standards of service and comfort. As a family, the hotel is an equal opportunity employer that embraces diversity in the workplace. We do not engage in or tolerate unlawful workplace conduct, discrimination, intimidation or harassment. Fair labour practices are applied across all employees, exceeding local standards and regulations.
Supply Chain
Shangri-La Singapore is committed to working with business partners who share the values of corporate citizenship, respect for the environment, human rights and social justice. Whenever possible, the hotel prefers local community-based suppliers and eco-friendly products to promote growth and development in the communities in which it operates.
Stakeholder Relations
The group aims to always engage the stakeholders in a clear, honest and respectful way. Regular dialogue is conducted with corporate and preferred clients, suppliers, concessionaires and the local community to better address issues that confront our properties.

Despite its prime position in the heart of the city, Shangri-La Singapore is set within 15 acres of landscaped gardens with trees and greenery providing shade and a sense of sanctuary. Inside, the Tower Wing lobby hosts one of the largest indoor natural features in Southeast Asia – a breathtaking nine-metre living wall built on a basalt rock face. A cleverly hidden irrigation system keeps the living wall lush while minimising water usage. Across the hotel, further greenery, root balls and water features help bring the outdoors indoors, creating a soothing atmosphere and helping to improve air quality for guests.
