Terms and Conditions Applicable to New Cardholders Who Successfully Apply for CMBC Shangri-La Co-brand Credit Cards

The welcome offer (“Welcome Offer”) is only applicable to New Cardholders who have submitted their credit card application during the period from 1 December 2023 to 30 September 2024 (both dates inclusive) (the “Promotion Period”) and fulfilled the requirements as set out below (based on the time recorded by the China Minsheng Bank Credit Card Center system). The Welcome Offer is subject to the details set out in the following paragraphs.


New cardholders are applicants of the principal Card who have not held any China Minsheng Bank Credit Cards (“CMBC credit cards”) or have held any CMBC credit cards (except corporate credit cards) and cancelled their cards and accounts for at least 12 months before the Promotion Period; and who have submitted their credit card application during the Promotion Period and received approval of the CMBC Shangri-La Co-brand Credit Card with successful card activation on or before 31 October 2024 (each a “New Cardholder”, and collectively, “New Cardholders”).


This Welcome Offer is only applicable to New Cardholders of the CMBC Shangri-La Co-brand Credit Card (the “Card”) issued by China Minsheng Banking Corp., Ltd..


New Cardholders who successfully apply for the CMBC Shangri-La Co-brand Credit Card can enjoy an extra 500 Shangri-La Circle Points (the “Points”) when accumulated CNY500 spend with the newly approved CMBC Shangri-La Co-brand Credit Card via Union Pay within the first 90 days from the date of Card issuance on offline physical card transactions made directly with Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts, Kerry Hotels, JEN Hotels and Traders hotels worldwide (excluding hotels, restaurants and bars listed in paragraph 10), including spending on hotel stays, food and beverages, spa and health clubs (“Eligible Transactions”). For the avoidance of doubt, Cardholders are not eligible to this Welcome Offer if any accumulated spend is made via third party payment platform (e.g. WeChat Pay, Alipay etc) or is not considered as an Eligible Transaction. For the avoidance of doubt, the extra 500 Points is only a one-off offer for meeting the above requirements and will not be adjusted regardless of the amount spent on Eligible Transactions exceeding the aforementioned threshold.


This Welcome Offer is only applicable to New Cardholders who have successfully submitted their Card application during the Promotion Period and accumulated CNY500 offline physical card spent on Eligible Transactions during the first 90 days from the date of Card issuance in order to receive the extra 500 Points. The Welcome Offer is limited to 20,000 sets and available on a first-come, first-served basis according to the time when the spend requirement is met, refund transactions will not be counted towards meeting the spend requirement. Each Cardholder may only enjoy the Welcome Offer once.


All time frame mentioned in this Welcome Offer promotion is based on the system time of China Minsheng Bank Credit Card Center.


Cardholders are required to provide accurate Shangri-La Circle membership information including surname, given name, membership number and any other information as may be required in the Card application form and thereafter as required from time to time, and shall maintain a valid Shangri-La Circle membership account at all relevant times, in order to participate in this Welcome Offer and receive the Points earned. Shangri-La Circle membership account must be owned by the Cardholders. Subsequent change of Shangri-La Circle membership account associated with their Card is not allowed.


The 500 Points earned in respect of Eligible Transactions during the first 90 days from the date of Card issuance be credited into eligible New Cardholders’ Shangri-La Circle membership accounts no later than 28 February 2025.


Points earned cannot be converted into cash and are non-transferrable.


Any spending at the following hotels, restaurants and bars will not be considered as Eligible Transactions:

If the Chinese version of these Terms and Conditions are available in other languages, the Chinese version shall prevail if any discrepancy arises.


The terms and conditions of this Welcome Offer are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China.


Shangri-La Circle’s terms and conditions (available at www.shangri-la.com/en/corporate/shangrilacircle/terms-conditions) shall apply to this Welcome Offer and be incorporated by reference into these terms and conditions.
