Shangri-La Hotel, Xian Organises First Charity Santa Run To Raise Funds for Autistic Children

Xian, China, 6 December 2014 – Red suits, belts, beards and hats swept Hancheng Lake in a flash flood of Santas running through Hancheng Lake Park during a charity Santa Run organised by Shangri-La Hotel, Xian on the morning of 6 December 2014.

This charity activity aims to help the autistic children at Xinxin Special Children’s Education Development Center.  Around 200 people wearing traditional red Santa Claus outfits joined the 5 .3-kilometre run.

“Running in costume is always a challenge, but a fun experience,” said Wilson Li, who competed in the race.  “I feel the holiday cheer with so many Santas and it’s for a good cause.”
