Tainan, Taiwan, 25 February 2016 – In celebration of its seventh anniversary, Shangri-La’s Far Eastern Plaza Hotel, Tainan centers its theme on “gratitude” and launches room packages, dining, banquet, meeting totaling all together of seven major types of promotional campaigns as a token of gratitude for all the support and encouragement of its guests over the years.
 
Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts entered southern Taiwan with Shangri-La’s Far Eastern Plaza Hotel, Tainan’s opening in March 2009.  Entering its seventh year of operation, the hotel has consistently been popular among domestic and international travelers alike, garnering various international awards.
 
Most recently, the hotel was named one of the “Top 10 Luxury Hotels in Taiwan” at TripAdvisor’s Traveler’s Choice Awards for the sixth consecutive year. Shangri-La’s Far Eastern Plaza Hotel, Tainan introduces “In Search of the Lucky 7” – a hotel promotion for Taiwan nationals.  Starting today till March 31, guests who avail the Best Available Rate may present their National ID and get a discount if their ID number has the number 7.  One “7” entitles the guest to a 10 percent discount, two “7s” will get a 20 percent discount, three “7s” for a 30 percent discount and so on. The more 7s one has on the ID, the greater the discount offered. 
 
On March 4, the hotel’s official LINE@Lifestyle Circle will hold a lucky draw called “Stay at a five-star hotel for NT$777; try your luck on its anniversary.”  Guests are invited to stay at the hotel at the super-value price of NT$777, which is designed to attract travelers to travel to Tainan this spring and revitalize the city’s tourism.
 
The hotel’s event team, which has coordinated many family celebrations and joyful reunions, is launching the “Special Offer for Celebrations” super-value banquet package.
 
From now through March 31, guests will enjoy a 30 percent discount on any engagement, wedding banquet, baby’s one-month celebration and elder’s birthday party.  After discount, rates for each table for 10 start at NT$10,560 (including service fee).  The professional consulting team at the one-stop shop will customize the event while creating an innovative and uniquely themed experience.
 
In addition to the hotel stay and banquet promotions, there will be several other super-value discounts.  The highly popular Café at Far Eastern buffet restaurant will hold the “Call Me Lucky 7” event.  From March 1 to 18, parties of less than seven persons will enjoy a 33 percent discount if one guest has the number “7” on his birthday or National ID number.
 
Tainan’s highest scenic restaurant offering panoramic views, the well-loved Shanghai Pavilion, will launch a special Dim Sum offer from March 1 to 31, Mondays to Fridays, during lunch hours.  Guests may enjoy 20 kinds of selected Dim Sum, including Pan-Fried Radish Cake, Steamed Minced Pork and Chicken Jus Dumpling, Pan-Fried Sticky Rice with Ham and more for only NT$77 per dish during weekday lunch.
