France’s leading, century-old chocolate brand, “Weiss Chocolate, the LV of the chocolate world,” is launching in Taiwan! Weiss Chef, Damien Piscioneri, comes to Taiwan to design a series of world-wide, exclusive French-style Christmas dessert. There are 7 fantastic selections, including Dreams of the Nevea, Buche Asia In Love, Manatee Coco and Pavlova Marrons Cassis, are only sold at the hotel’s The Shop (1F) with a limited supply on offer daily. The flash puffs and various mini cakes start at NT$150 each while large cakes start at NT$980 each. The irresistible desserts are sold out immediately after it went on sale, starting a new wave of premium desserts.  


European Luxury Product: France’s Weiss Chocolate, the LV among chocolates 

Weiss Chocolate was founded in 1882 at in Saint Etienne, France, a stronghold for French chocolate. This century-old family brand is well-known as the “LV of the chocolate world,” since it has been awarded LE PRIX d'EXCELLENCE EUROPEENNE in 1985, which is on par with high-end brands such as Dior, YSL and Rolls-Royce. Weiss selects cocoa beans from around the world. It only uses pure cocoa butter and their chocolate are only made with traditional methods to ensure its unique quality and flavor. Damien Piscioneri, Weiss Chef and French national, has served as the pastry chef for several renowned international five star hotels. He is passionate about seeking out locally fresh produce and premium chocolate. Known for his “aesthetically pleasing” premium dessert around the world, making his mark in the U.S., London, Hungary, Moscow, Paris, to name a few. This time, he has been invited to Taiwan to create desserts for Shangri-La’s Far Eastern Plaza Hotel, Tainan under the concept of “French Fairytale Christmas.”The seven exclusive desserts, namely Dreams of the Nevea, Buche Asia In Love, Manatee Coco, Aneo Chocolate Mouse cake with Lemon Pomelo Filling, Hazelnut and Aneo Chocolate Puff and Pavlova Marrons Cassis are on offer for this festive session.
