The tikoy, also known as nian gao (literally meaning year cake) is a traditional Chinese New Year delight, believed to bring good luck and affluence according to ancient Chinese belief. This sticky sweet snack is made of glutinous rice and molded into different shapes, traditional round with the Chinese prosperity character and a pair of fish symbolizing surplus every year. Choose from an assortment of flavors such as traditional, coconut and yam. In addition, radish cake and tarts in pineapple and red bean flavors are also offered.
