Makati Shangri-La, Manila announces the recent appointment of Andrew den Oudsten as the new Hotel Manager. Mr. Den Oudsten is responsible for overseeing the management and operations of the hotel’s 696 rooms and seven restaurants and bars.
Mr. Den Oudsten brings with him over 15 years of extensive experience in hotel management. He has made his rounds all over the world, having come from Canada, the Middle East, Asia and Australia. For the first time, Mr. den Oudsten makes Manila his current city of residence as he joins Makati Shangri-La as Hotel Manager.
Prior to his appointment, Mr. Den Oudsten began his career in the front office, working his way to become Front Office Manager and eventually, Director of Rooms for the InterContinental Hotels Group in key cities of Sydney, Australia, and Singapore. He moved to Prince Hotel and Residence in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as Resident Manager, before going back to the InterContinental Hotels in Pudong, Shanghai. He was then assigned in the Jumeirah Beach Resort in Dubai, U.A.E. , and later on became Director of Operations Canada. His recent appointment was as Hotel Manager while based in Toronto, Canada.
