Shangri-La Hotel, Huhhot Presents Curry Cuisine And Tea Dishes

Huhhot, 9 April 2015 – Shangri-La Hotel, Huhhot will host a Curry Cuisine Theme from 8 to 19 April 2015 at Xin Café, where guests can enjoy exotic flavours from a variety of curry dishes.  Also in April, the hotel will offer guests a new experience with the fresh and delicate taste and aroma of tea dishes at Shang Palace.

Guests can spice up the spring season with curry and its many characteristics.  Curry is a spice mix of widely varying composition and a unique blend of exotic tastes.  The hotel will prepare a wide selection of curry dishes specially for the occasion, including Thai Green Curry Pork, Kari Ayam, Nyonya Chicken Curry with Potato, Ikan Kari, Braised Fish in Tamarind Curry Sauce, Udang Masak Lemak, Braised Prawn in Turmeric Coconut Milk, Daging Masak Kicap, Beef stewed with Spicy Soy Sauce, Curried Onion Bun, Acar Rampai, Vegetable Pickle in Chilli Vinaigrette and Groundnut, Pecari Nanas, Pineapple Pickle and more.

Chinese cuisine has a long history of using tea as a main ingredient.  Eating tea dishes provides the same benefits as tea drinking.  Tea in such dishes as Double-Boiled Sea Cucumber in Tea Superior Broth, Longjing Tea Sautéed Shrimp with Crispy Spring Roll, Fried Prawn with Tiequanyin Tea helps reduce grease and promote better digestion.

The hotel recently launched a new menu featuring tea dishes using many of the major Chinese tea varieties ranging from Longjing Tea, Tieguanyin, Dahongpao Tea, Chrysanthemum Tea, Jasmine Tea and so on.
