The new à la carte menu at Shangri-La Hotel, Huhhot’s Shang Palace Chinese restaurant has been released. The menu reflects a unique combination of imaginative, creative and high-quality Cantonese cuisine that reinforces the restaurant’s reputation as a leading purveyor of high-end Cantonese specialities in Huhhot.
Maintaining a mix of Cantonese and Mongolian cuisine as well as provincial specialities, the new à la carte menu at Shang Palace offers more dining options under the categories of appetiser, soup, fresh seafood, dim sum and premium food items. Executive Chinese Chef Menex Cheung, from Hong Kong, and his culinary team created the menu, which uses sophisticated cooking skills to meet local preferences. The main menu is the brainchild of Chef Cheung and has a distinct flavour and contemporary presentation. Some of the new signature dishes on the menu are Rice Crispies in Sizzled Tomato Seafood Soup and Stewed Whole Eggplant Stuffed with Diced Spicy Wagyu Beef.
In addition to the à la carte menu, Chef Cheung and his team are adept at preparing exclusive personalised cuisine according to the taste preferences of diners on the day.
The cuisine at Shang Palace can be complemented with a wine that enhances the overall taste of the chosen dish, and the restaurant’s professional sommelier, Michael Chang, is more than happy to make food pairing recommendations to make the entire dining experience more enjoyable. Mr. Chang holds the Wine and Spirit Education Trust Certificate.
