Opened in March 2010, Shangri-La Hotel, Guilin is the newest luxury international five‑star standard hotel in the city and offers an ideal wedding venue for discerning couples, whether for a wedding celebration or a memorable honeymoon.
A Premium Location
Located on the banks of the Li River, the hotel is just a 10-minute drive from Die Cai Mountain, the city centre and the city’s famous pedestrianised tourist street. Although a central location can often impose parking challenges, Shangri-La Hotel, Guilin offers guests ample underground parking.
Ultimate Wedding Facilities
Shangri-La Hotel, Guilin’s pillar-free Grand Ballroom, the city’s largest, spans 1,800 square metres and can accommodate 1,100 guests for a sit-down dinner. The ballroom’s 18 crystal chandeliers create a spirit of celebration and set the stage for an elegant and unforgettable experience for the couple and their guests. A dedicated bridal room next to the Grand Ballroom ensures privacy for the bride and groom before making their grand entrance.
Featuring Guilin’s only dedicated wedding pagoda, the hotel provides a fairy-tale outdoor setting for marriage celebrations and picturesque photographs.
Dining and Service
Apart from the couple being spoilt by the selection of luxurious facilities, a team of dedicated professionals including experienced wedding consultants, creative chefs and an attentive, thoughtful service team ensure flawless operation on the wedding day.
Executive Chef Walter Doerig personally oversees the menu for wedding dining. A Swiss culinary artist, Chef Doerig has 24 years of experience as an executive chef with the Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts group. Wedding menus in demand start from RMB2,399 for a table of 10 (subject to 15 per cent service charge), and Chef Doerig can also tailor a menu based on the preferences of the wedding couple.
