Shang Palace at Shangri-La Hotel, Guilin Offers New Dining Experience

Shang Palace at Shangri-La Hotel, Guilin is offering chef's recommendation cuisines from 29 June 2013. Chef Chen Yong Heng will exquisitely prepare such dishes as Stir-Fried Mushrooms with Garlic and Oil, Marinated Bean Curd with Parsley, Foshan Soy Pork Trotter, Curry Prawn and many more. An new dining experience starts here.

As a signature Chinese restaurant, Shang Palace occupies two levels at Shangri-La Hotel, Guilin. The restaurant overlooks the lush garden and picturesque Li River through floor-to-ceiling windows. Spanning 1,400 square metres, Shang Palace features 12 private dining rooms and seating for up to 220 guests. Each dining room reflects traditional designs in modern expression.

Chef Chen has more than 20 years of culinary experience. He leads a team of chefs in creating aesthetically authentic Cantonese, Huaiyang, Hunan and local Guilin dishes.

The chef's recommendation menu includes 15 well-made delicious dishes with prices ranging from Rmb15 to Rmb138, which can meet the requirements of people from all walks of life. One dish is Braised Sea Cucumber with Preserved Shrimps Roe. From a selection of fresh sea cucumber, this dish with shrimp roe and mushrooms is nutritious and delicious. Traditional Shanghainese Braised Pork belly in Dark Soy Sauce has fat, but is not greasy and leaves a lasting aftertaste. The flavour lingers on the mouth and lips for a long time. Curry Prawn with Gold Bread takes diners on a journey to the fusion of exotic and traditional cuisine. A classic Cantonese dish, Foshan Soy Pork Trotter not only tastes fresh and dense, but is also very nutritious.
