Shangri-La’s China World Summit Wing, Beijing organised its second bridal fair at the city’s largest ballroom on 21 April 2013. With the theme ‘Love in the Air’, this annual bridal fair is a collaboration with wedding event planners L&G and Aijie. The 2,340 square metre ballroom was transformed into a contemporary and modern space of imagination. The bridal fair began with an original short film, a live performance by the dynamic duo, MI2, followed by a showcase with renowned wedding gown and jewellery designers.
As the tallest and most luxurious hotel in Beijing, ‘Love in the Air’ bridal fair portrayed a dream wedding set-up in shades of purple and an extravagant display of crystals at the peak of Beijing. With a range of venues that can cater for intimate receptions at the outdoor Pine Garden, or a lavish wedding banquet for over 1,000 guests at the Summit Ballroom, Shangri-La’s China World Summit Wing, Beijing has it all.
Reception for the bridal fair started at 3:00 p.m. at the Summit Ballroom’s foyer located on level three. China World Summit Wing, Beijing presented an original short movie that revolved around a young couple meeting for the first time in China World Summit Wing, Beijing. This is a simple and inspirational love story that blossomed even after years of separation and numerous obstacles. It culminated in China World Summit Wing, Beijing, the place where it all began, with a touching and intimate wedding ceremony in front of their family and loved ones.
The afternoon continued with a bridal gown fashion show by renowned American bridal designer, Allure Bridals, showcasing their latest bridal range at the fashion show. With over 12 years of history, Allure Bridal’s wedding gowns are all hand sewn and intricately designed. For a little more exclusivity, brides-to-be can also work with the designers of Allure Bridal to custom tailor a wedding gown of their dreams. In addition, ‘Love In The Air’ has partnered with official jeweller, the Paris-based jewellery power house, Boucheron, with over a hundred years of history in jewellery making since 1858.
