Kowloon Shangri-La's acclaimed "Japanese Artisanal Bread Breakfast Buffet" is back this autumn! The Lobby Lounge is excited to announce its return from 14 November, 2025, to 4 January, 2026 (available only on Fridays to Sundays and public holidays). Guests can make reservations at the Shangri-La Boutique starting 14 October, 2025. Bread enthusiasts need not travel to Japan to enjoy a lavish buffet breakfast on weekends and holidays, immersing themselves in the exquisite flavours of star-rated Japanese baking artistry. This first-of-its-kind five-star hotel Japanese bread breakfast buffet is priced at HKD $198* per person, allowing guests to indulge in 20 varieties of artisan-baked Japanese bread. Newly introduced items include mini NAMA cream donuts, shaved truffle egg salad donuts, and chestnut Mont Blanc Danish, perfectly paired with unlimited Japanese hand-dripped coffee to energize a new day and embark on an extraordinary culinary journey.

All breads are crafted from high-quality ingredients, with flour sourced from a top Japanese mill with a history of 140 years. The finely textured red wheat flour has superior elasticity and extensibility, resulting in soft, cloud-like breads and donuts. Our chefs select premium AOP butter from France, combined with proprietary recipes to enhance the aromas and layers of various baked goods. The selection includes Japanese white toast, soft rolls, European bread, Danish pastries, and donuts, catering to different guest preferences. All items are meticulously crafted with Japanese artisanal techniques and spirit, using fresh fruits delivered directly from Japan, jams, Hokkaido milk, Japanese chestnuts, and Lan Wang eggs, providing a luxurious taste experience.

Mini NAMA Cream Donuts (New!)
Made with flour from a 140-year-old Japanese mill, red wheat is known as the "king of bread wheat." Its fine granules impart excellent extensibility and elasticity to the dough, yielding light and moist donuts. Our chefs carefully select the rich-tasting Lan Wang eggs from Japan, infusing the dough with a vibrant colour and flavour; the filling uses Hokkaido cream, with a fat content of up to 45%, offering a rich, creamy taste that is light and fluffy.

Shaved Truffle Egg Salad Donuts (New!)
These soft donuts are made from selected red wheat flour, Lan Wang eggs, and Hokkaido cream. The filling features a Japanese egg salad recipe crafted by the chef at Tanman, delivering an authentic Japanese flavour. It incorporates premium Italian truffle oil, emitting a rich and unique mushroom aroma, garnished with freshly shaved black truffle slices, creating a sophisticated experience with layers of delightful flavours in every bite.

Chestnut Mont Blanc Danish (New!)
Inspired by Japan's delicate aesthetics, these Danish pastries are filled with top-quality Japanese chestnut paste, offering a dense and sweet texture with a natural chestnut aroma. The custard incorporates organic vanilla beans from Madagascar, providing a rich and layered taste. Topped with candied Japanese chestnuts, traditionally cooked to create a moist and rich texture, they exude a subtle sweetness unique to Japanese chestnuts, evoking the essence of autumn and winter in every bite.

Mini Mentaiko Baguette
Our chefs bring this classic Hakata specialty to Hong Kong, allowing bread lovers to savour popular baked delights from Fukuoka without traveling to Japan. Each mini mentaiko baguette is freshly made to order, with our specially prepared mentaiko sauce spread generously over the baguette; after double baking, it becomes crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, bursting with savoury flavours.

Japanese White Toast
Seemingly simple yet unforgettable, this white toast is baked at high temperatures to retain moisture in the shortest possible time, ensuring it remains soft. The tasting experience is enhanced by the hotel staff heating the toast to order, placing a slice of creamy butter on top that slowly melts, elevating the aroma of the toast, perfectly complemented by jam delivered directly from Okinawa.

Sea Salt Butter Red Bean Bread
Also known as shio croissant, this bread features a crispy exterior and a soft interior, releasing a gentle buttery aroma and just the right saltiness, offering a pure and upscale taste experience. The dough undergoes low-temperature fermentation for an extended period, resulting in a slightly crispy exterior and a moist, velvety interior, filled with creamy butter and red bean paste, garnished with sparkling salt flakes, completing this beloved bread.
