My personal “Shangri-la”? That’s simple. It’s a feeling that comes over me when our family is together, when my children and grandchildren are around. As with any family, work can get in the way. Last year, in 2020, we lost one of my sons, Jomar. And with everything that has been going on because of the pandemic, I have realized how truly precious life is how important the time is that you spend with family. When we are all at home, we have our meals together. One of my daughters loves to bake, so we enjoy that. My grandchildren really brighten up our home. It’s not important what specific activity we are doing. Being together is really all that counts.
