In his capacity, Chef Wong oversees a multi-talented team of Chinese chefs and focuses on curating authentic Cantonese classics using only the best quality ingredients of the season.
Prior to his current position, Chef Wong led the culinary team of Hotel Lisboa, Macau – Portas do Sol for five years and had also served as Head Chef of Dynasty Garden and Chinese Executive Chef of Kimberly Hotel for a significant number of years.
Chef Wong developed a sturdy foundation of quality craftsmanship for traditional Cantonese cuisine under the leadership and guidance of master chefs at the Michelin-starred Ming Court for over a decade. With over 20 years of culinary experience, Chef Wong comes highly decorated. He achieved a Gold Award and was named Champion in the Chinese Cuisines World Championship in 2015 and won the Gold with Distinction in the Beef Category at Hong Kong Tourism Board’s Best of the Best Culinary Awards 2013. He was also recognised for Chinese Cuisine Hot Cooking and was awarded as Overall Champion at the Hong Kong International Culinary Golden Bauhinia Cup in 2012.
