Meeting your needs

Upon arrival at CHI, The Spa at Shangri-La, the consultant will conduct a brief consultation to determine your element and ensure that you have the treatments that suit your needs.

Please advise the consultant if you are pregnant or have any health issues.

Our consultants are experienced in all treatments and would be delighted to assist you in planning your spa programme if you are staying in the hotel for more than one day.

Preparing for your treatment

For ladies, no preparation is necessary. Simply arrive at CHI and enjoy!

For men, we recommend shaving several hours prior to having a facial for maximum comfort and benefit to the skin.

What to wear

There is no need to bring or wear any special clothing, as spa wear is provided in your treatment suite.

Facial gowns are provided for facials and disposable underpants are provided for body scrubs and wraps.

Privacy 

Your therapist will leave you to change in private, making sure that your privacy is protected at all times. 

Throughout the treatment, you will be draped with towels covering all parts of the body not being worked on.

Reservations

Advance bookings prior to the intended treatment time are recommended.

Please either call or visit CHI, The Spa with any questions you may have. We will help determine the suitable treatment for you.

Arrival time

To fully enjoy your therapy, please arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment.

Late arrivals

In the event that you are running late, we will endeavour to conduct your full treatment. However, your treatment may need to be shortened should there be another booking immediately afterwards.

Children

Children under 16 years of age are not permitted in the spa.

Cancellation

We request a minimum of 24 hours’ notice if you are unable to keep your appointment. Please call our staff, who will be happy to reschedule.

No-shows or appointments cancelled within 24 hours will incur a 100% cancellation fee.

Your comfort

Although we try to anticipate your needs, we appreciate that a visit to a spa is a very individual experience.

Please let your therapist know if there is any way that she can improve your treatment or comfort - for example, heavier or lighter massage pressure, an extra towel, adjusting the sound or lighting levels.
