Shangri-La Hotel, Shenyang Participates in Earth Hour: Consume Less, Enjoy More

In response to the call of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), all Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts properties will participate in Earth Hour from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. local time on 19 March 2016.  The hotels and resorts will turn off lighting in majority of the staff areas and dim the lights in the public areas, restaurants and exterior areas.

Shangri-La Hotel, Shenyang, as a member of the Shangri-La family, will participate in this year’s Earth Hour with theme of “Consume Less, Enjoy More”.  The hotel also encourages guests to participate by turning off the lights, air conditioning, computers and so on in their rooms during the appointed hour to help build a better future in which people live in harmony with nature and to celebrate their commitment to the planet.

“Protecting the Earth we live in is everyone’s responsibility and daily practice.  It should not be only during Earth Hour.  We also encourage our colleagues to save energy and reduce emissions in our daily work and life to celebrate our commitment to the planet in our own way,” said Raymond Teo, Shangri-La Hotel, Shenyang’s general manager.
