About the Hotel
In 2014, Shangri-La will introduce the first luxury resort in China, which will be situated along Haitang Bay of Sanya on the southern part of Hainan Island.
The resort will feature 300 metres of immaculate beach front property and have the surrounding mountains as a backdrop. Ideal for leisure travelers and business groups, the resort is only a pleasant 40-minute drive from both the island's downtown area and Sanya Phoenix International Airport.

Rooms & Suites
The resort comprises 340 elegant and spacious guestrooms and 8 villas, which are characterised by a fusion of contemporary and indigenous designs. All guest rooms feature private balconies with a panoramic view of the mountains or the beautiful sandy beach of Haitang Bay.
The 8 private villas are provided with butler-style service and a pool that is embraced by beautifully landscaped gardens and are ideal for private meals with close friends and family.

The resort's lobby will offer a lounge that serves a wide variety of teas and cakes and provides scenic views of the south china sea. In addition, a pool bar will quench every thirst with refreshing cocktails and delightful drinks, and an outdoor bar will offer views of the ocean while fostering the circulation of “Chi” with small food plates and drinks.
The resort also boasts an all-day-dining restaurant that features 6 live theatre kitchens that combine various South East Asian & International cuisines and a liquid kitchen that can provide a variety of of beverages, including fresh juices, coffee, tea and a variety of other drinks.

CHI, The Spa at Shangri-La draws inspiration from the origins of the Shangri-La legend, which describes a place of personal peace, enchantment and well-being.
Set within a quiet corner of the resort that covers 757 square metres and overlooks a lush landscaped garden, CHI, The Spa offers a total of 15 luxuriously appointed suites.
The resort will also include a fully-equipped health club with saunas, steam rooms, a state-of-the-art gym and an outdoor deck area that extends into a tranquil place for tai chi or yoga.
The resort features a main swimming pool, a lap pool and a dedicated children’s pool. In addition, a jogging path, forest trails, an adventure zone, which covers 510 square metres, a kids club, a wet play area, various indoor and outdoor sporting activities and beach games will ensure that all guests have a good time.
