Chinese Chef Tan
Kim Weng has over 20 years of experience in the culinary industry. He has won
numerous awards including the 2010-2011 ACE Rising Star Winner (Marriot Award
of Culinary Excellence) and the 2007-2008 Hospitality Asia Platinum Award for
Most Promising Asian Cuisine Chef. He was the 1998 Winner of the Hong Kong Dim
Sum King Southeast Asia Championship as well as the 1993 Gold Winner for
Malaysian Cuisine (Hot Cooking), Culinaire Malaysia.
He now brings his initiative, creativity and
excellent knowledge of culinary trends to Shang Palace in Shangri-La Hotel,
Kuala Lumpur. With his vast culinary experience and knowledge of Oriental
