Shangri-La Hotel, Fuzhou Introduces Strawberry-Themed Afternoon Tea

Shangri-La, Fuzhou January 2017 – Shangri-La Hotel, Fuzhou introduced a Strawberry-themed Afternoon Tea for the warm spring season, filling the New Year afternoon air with sunshine and the taste of desserts and strawberries. Shangri-La Hotel, Fuzhou selected fresh seasonal strawberries for the new season’s Strawberry-themed Afternoon Tea. The pastry chefs have designed a range of fresh snacks and desserts, which will definitely whet the appetite and let guests enjoy a pleasant and leisurely afternoon.

Shangri-La Hotel, Fuzhou’s afternoon tea is available at Lobby Lounge daily from 7 January to 31 March 2017, 2 to 6 p.m. Filled with fresh strawberries, the whole Lobby Lounge looks like an elegant aristocratic lady, with a combination of high ceilings, gorgeous carpeting, huge French windows and comfortable sofas. The sun shines on the three-tier birdcage for the afternoon tea, giving the place a bright, very delicate and elegant atmosphere.

The afternoon tea offers as many as 20 specialties, including delicious desserts and uniquely tasteful cool dishes. Executive Chef Frederick especially recommends the delicious desserts from the Strawberry Afternoon Tea, such as Strawberry Tart, Napoleon Strawberry, Strawberry Cheesecake, Cream Strawberry Meringue Cake, Strawberry Parfait, Strawberry Jelly and Strawberry Chocolate.

The cold dishes feature a combination of strawberries, chicken, avocado in pasta and salad, such as Strawberry and Mango Salad with Vanilla Shrimp, Lime Salmon with Flavoured Strawberry and Goose Liver Pate and Marble Toast with Strawberry Sauce.
Every dish is an innovation of the chefs. Strawberry’s sweet-and-sour taste, along with different kinds of fragrance, will give guests a sense of happiness.

The afternoon tea menu also offers a wide range of tea choices, including English Breakfast, Earl Grey, Darjeeling, Jasmine Green Tea, Chamomile and Mint Leaf.
A kettle of Earl Grey Tea fills the air with the elegant scent of bergamot citrus. Sipped lightly, the tea’s fresh taste flows into the mouth; the afternoon tea ceremony begins at this moment. Guests who are not satisfied with ordinary English Breakfast Tea or any Western tea may also order a glass of Champagne to feel a little bit tipsy in the afternoon.

The afternoon tea is available at RMB168 per set for two people from Monday to Friday and at RMB128 per person for the weekend afternoon tea buffet. All prices are in RMB and include 10 per cent service charge and any government taxes and value-added tax (where applicable) payable on the prices together with the service charge.
