The season of matsutake has arrived. You are invited to experience the wonders of the highlands and savor this rare delicacy of this snowy region. Our four-day, three-night tour is specially curated to present magnificent mountain views, offering an immersive experience of Shangri-La’s unique culture and authentic local life.

Day 1

• Pickup at the airport/railway station and transport to our hotel;

• Arrive at the hotel and check-in (with a Tibetan-style Khata presentation welcome ceremony);

• Napahai loop tour accompanied by the hotel concierge (with vehicle and driver provided by the hotel);

• Hamgu Ecological Farm tour with a specialty dinner prepared with natural ingredients;

• Butter lamp hand-making experience back at the hotel after dinner.

Day 2

• Breakfast at the hotel and then praying ceremony at Songzanlin Monastery (ticket included);

• Lunch – Yunnan Crossing-the-Bridge Rice Noodles for two;

• Tour in Jidi Village, a valley in Shangri-La known for matsutake: Accompanied by a guide, stroll through high-altitude ecological pastures and explore the hotel’s exclusive wild mushroom foraging trail to discover the secrets of how these wild fungi grow. 

Day 3

• After breakfast at the hotel, join a hotel butler for a visit to a local market to discover seasonal ingredients and experience the authentic, bustling atmosphere of local life. You may purchase fresh seasonal matsutake mushrooms, wild mushrooms, and other ingredients (at your own expense).

•  Lunch – Taste your very own Shangri‑La Cuisine, where our chef prepares dishes using the ingredients you purchased (including two meat dishes and two vegetable dishes; additional dishes available for an extra charge); 

• After a brief rest following lunch, take a leisurely stroll through Dukezong Ancient Town; visit the Guinness World Record–holding prayer wheel, and stop by popular photo spots and Tibetan restaurants in the ancient town (with transport provided by the hotel).

Day 4

• Breakfast at the hotel;

• After checking out, transport to the airport or railway station will be provided by our hotel, concluding your trip to Shangri-La.
