Every day brings a new adventure

From the tranquil South Pacific beaches and inviting blue lagoon to the white sand beaches, the natural beauty of Yanuca Island is an idyllic backdrop for every kind of Fijian experience you’re looking for.

The resort offers an abundance of choices for families, couples and those looking for a refreshing new experience. On land, you can enjoy three freshwater pools, a 9-hole Peter Thompson designed executive golf course, mini-golf course, three tennis courts, gymnasium and our Maraua cultural village. For those that want to spend their days out on the water, our sea sports centre offers something for everyone. Our lagoon is home to Fiji’s largest inflatable water park which is perfect for the kids, or jump on a jetski for more action. If you’re after a slower pace grab a snorkel or kayak to explore the sea-life.

To help preserve and protect the natural beauty of the island, we believe leisure travel must be ecologically sustainable and sensitive to our natural environment. In line with our commitment to biodiversity conservation, the group launched SANCTUARY, Shangri-La’s Care for Nature Project.

On the island, you’ll also find our Marine Education Centre which works with guests and locals to promote awareness of the region’s fragile ecosystems. Focused on marine and terrestrial habitats surrounding Yanuca Island, learn more about the precious nature of our paradise and get involved in house building, coral planting, mangrove kayak tours and much more

Hours of fun await water-lovers! Whether you want to deep-dive into the incredible aquatic playground of the Coral Coast or take it in from above, there are plenty of ways to enjoy your time in the sea.

For a unique aquatic adventure, take a drive up the coral coast on our guided Jet Ski Safari to visit the secluded Natadola Beach and snorkel off a deserted island. If you’d prefer to see the Coral Coast by boat, set sail and enjoy dusk aboard our Sunset Cruise.

We also offer a range of scheduled sports activities, such as Sports Fishing, Snorkeling Safaris and Glassbottom Boat Tours. For some action near the resort’s lagoon, give Parasailing, Flyboarding or Wakeboarding a try.

For water enthusiasts interested in exploring the reef themselves, equipment rental is also available, or we can arrange SSI (Scuba School International) certification scuba courses managed by onsite instructors.
