Under the initiative and organization of the local subdistrict office, Shangri-La Xi’an partnered with teachers and students from the local Open University to launch a tree-planting event themed “Planting Greenery, Bringing Color to Spring.” The event took place at the foot of the Qinling Mountains and was an active fulfillment of the hotel's corporate social responsibility. Through this event, the hotel took action to conserve the environment, using greenery to revitalize the city.

On the day of the event, participants worked together, wielding shovels and tending to the soil. Saplings took root one by one in the fertile earth under the warm spring sun, adding a touch of fresh greenery to the Qinling Mountains. The atmosphere at the planting site was lively yet orderly. Everyone approached each step of the process with a strong sense of responsibility, contributing to ecological conservation with their own hands. Each new patch of green represents a commitment to and hope for the natural environment and serves as a testament to sustainable development.

The Qinling Mountains are a vital ecological security barrier for China and a crucial component of Xi’an’s ecological civilization initiatives. For many years, Shangri-La Xi’an has consistently integrated environmental protection and sustainable development principles into its daily operations and brand practices. Through energy conservation, emissions reduction, green operations, and community engagement, the hotel continues to advance ESG principles and fulfill its long-term commitments to society and nature.
